Stress & Anxiety
In modern day, while we may not be fighting for our lives on a daily basis or hunting for food, our fight or flight system is still very active just in new environments. Additionally with the fast paced nature of modern living, it can be easy to become stressed and allow those feelings to continuously carry over when we do not take the time to regulate.Hypnotherapy can help with stress and anxiety by identifying the triggering event/ space, the thought processes behind it and suggesting new beliefs and feelings. This can sometimes include visualising the event unfolding and feeling calm or even joyful during it.
If the feeling of stress or anxiety is general hypnotherapy can also be useful in teaching relaxation techniques. Giving the nervous system a space to completely relax and rest, which can be encouraging for the client to simply know they have the capacity to feel differently.
Self Esteem & Confidence
Lowered self esteem is the underlying factor behind many headlining issues. How you feel about yourself and what you believe you are worthy of affects everything; from jobs to personal relationships and goals.
Our self esteem is often a reflection of our childhood and the thoughts processes that were programmed into our subconscious at the time. This is good news, because we were not born being self critical or feeling unworthy, we can unlearn the programming behind it and rid ourselves of the deprecating thoughts that might be haunting our everyday life.
Hypnotherapy can suggest to you a new way of thinking, provide a space to release old thought patterns that no longer serve you and help you to connect with a love and appreciation for yourself.
Simple Phobias
Fears and phobias can occur in any given stage of life and can become a hinderance to living as you please.
There are many different ways to treat the above with hypnotherapy, it can involve visualising yourself in the fearful situation but with a sense of control and peace to change the associated emotions with the fearful stimuli.
Hypnotherapy for phobias, as is the aim with all hypnotherapy, places the power back with the individual experiencing the phobia. Fear is a normal part of life, but you don’t have to be debilitated by it or allow it to make your decisions for you. Whatever the fear may be you deserve to be in the drivers seat.
Motivation
You may be struggling with motivation for many reasons. Perhaps you cannot see yourself achieving your goal because you don't feel you have the discipline or you have tried and failed before. Perhaps you are fearful of failing or even succeeding. All of these things can keep you from becoming truly motivated to complete what you're intending. Hypnotherapy for motivation can help by first examining what is inhibiting you feeling motivated and then working through this. That could look like working on your self esteem, to feel worthy of your success, or perhaps working on your fear of failure so you are confident enough to try. Hypnotherapy can help to reprogram your attitude towards your goal and the habits that will get you there.
Regret
Regret can be debilitating.
Constantly fixating on mistakes or ‘wrong’ decisions you feel you’ve made can keep you in the past and out of the present. But the present is where joy and peace is.
Hypnotherapy can do a few things for regret, it can help to reinstall confidence in your own decision making. It can build an appreciation for where previous decisions may have led you.
Hypnotherapy can also offer space to reflect on such decisions and regrets without the usual feelings and belief systems attached to them.
Why it matters…
“stress and other factors such as mood, coping mechanisms, and social support can significantly influence the underlying cellular and molecular processes that facilitate malignant cell growth.”
